British-Nigerian professional boxer and World Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua was reportedly paid a whooping sum of £15 million (N8.2billion) for beating Ukrain's Wladmir Klitschko last weekend at Wembley.
Joshua was paid a career-high purse for the epic fight, the biggest earned by he British fighter since he started his boxing career.

Klitschko losing the IBF, IBO and WBA titles to him, he was also paid
£15 million as part of the fight purse deal, which was set for a 50/50
split.
It was also reported that the bout
generated gate receipts worth about £7 million, while US television
rights sold for almost £2.4 million, with Showtime and HBO sharing the
rights.
German TV RTL also paid about £4
million to broadcast the event in the country where Ukrainian Klitschko
is a super star, while over £1 million was pumped in by sponsors among
many others.
